Give to Women's Studies

The Department of Women's Studies invites you to "share the vision" through your financial contributions to our priority projects. Each project is explained below. Contributions may be made at any time or faculty and staff can give through the Campus Campaign using the account numbers below.

Women's Studies Development Fund

The department maintains a development fund (306738) to support numerous projects such as our award-winning student outreach group, Peer Power; undergraduate writing awards; off-campus speakers; conferences organized by the department; and other special projects.

Elizabeth D. Gee Small Grants Program

This small grants program provides support for research on women and gender issues by Women's Studies faculty and Ph.D. students. There are two ways to give:
  1. a donation may be made to the endowment principal account (602449). Only interest earned from the endowment is used annually.
  2. a donation may be made to a current use account (308449). These funds will be disbursed annually in their entirety. To support dissertation research exclusively, see also the information under "Women's Studies Dissertation Grants."

Women's Studies Dissertation Grants

Donation made to this account (308718) will be used annually to support dissertation research by Women's Studies doctoral candidates.

Fellowships for Graduate Study

This fund will be used to create an annual fellowship for Women's Studies Ph.D. students (311584).

Scholarships for Undergraduate Study

Mildrled Munday Scholarship

An endowment established in memory of Mildred Munday provides interest income that is used annually for a $3,000 scholarship awarded to a high achieving Women's Studies major. Donations may be made to account 645073.
